Stainless Steel Electrical Enclosure
Compared with ordinary carbon steel cabinets, stainless steel electrical cabinets are more adaptable to extreme environments. They have passed IP66/IP67 protection level certification, can completely block dust intrusion, and withstand strong water splashes and short-term immersion; at the same time, they meet NEMA 4 standards and have excellent corrosion resistance, so they perform well in high humidity, high salt fog or strong corrosion scenes such as chemical plants, coastal facilities, and nuclear power plants. In terms of service life and maintenance cost, the natural corrosion resistance of stainless steel means that it does not require additional coating protection, greatly reducing the frequency and cost of maintenance. Under normal use, the service life can reach more than 20 years, reducing the long-term operating burden for enterprises and providing a long-lasting and stable equipment protection solution.
In the production of Stainless Steel Electrical Enclosure, the first priority is raw material screening. We use 304/316 stainless steel plates that meet the ASTM A240 standard, with a thickness of 1.2-3.0mm and customized on demand. After entering the factory, the alloy composition is verified by a spectrometer, and the hardness test is ensured to meet the standard. Mechanical or electrolytic polishing pretreatment removes oil and oxide layer to improve surface rust resistance.

2. Precision machining and forming

The pretreated plates enter the CNC machining stage. The laser cutting machine cuts the parts with an accuracy of ±0.1mm, and the CNC bending machine controls the bending angle error within ±0.5° to shape the box structure. Complex parts use stamping technology to ensure dimensional consistency and structural strength.
After the parts are formed, professional welders use argon arc welding or gas shielded welding to ensure that the welds are uniform and defect-free, and the strength reaches more than 85% of the parent material. Post-welding grinding removes burrs and protrusions, taking into account both aesthetics and safety.

4. Quality inspection and protective treatment

The finished product must undergo multiple inspections: appearance inspection to ensure flawlessness, IP protection test to verify dust and water resistance, airtightness inspection to prevent leakage; special scenario products must also pass salt spray and high temperature resistance tests. After passing the inspection, anti-corrosion paint is sprayed and passivation treatment is performed to enhance corrosion resistance and produce high-quality cabinets.

FAQ:
1. What is the material grade and anti-corrosion performance of the wall-mounted stainless steel Enclosure?
The mainstream uses 304 or 316 stainless steel, of which 316 has better corrosion resistance in chloride ion environments (such as coastal and chemical scenes). The surface treatment can be RAL 7035/7032 industrial spraying or primary color brushing to ensure salt spray resistance, acid and alkali resistance. Some high-demand scenes (such as offshore platforms) must comply with NEMA 4X standards (anti-corrosion certification).
2. Does the protection level (IP) meet the harsh environment?
Most SS Wall-Mount Enclosures products are marked with IP66/IP67
IP66: Completely dustproof and resistant to strong water spray (suitable for outdoor and dusty workshops)
IP67: Short-term immersion waterproof (suitable for humid and flushing environments).
Note: NEMA 4 standard (American standard) is equivalent to IP66 and can be referenced interchangeably.
3. Customization capabilities and delivery cycle?
Size: Standard product, also supports non-standard customization
Function: Can integrate cable management, cooling fan, explosion-proof interface, etc.410
Delivery: Small batch orders are about 7-15 working days, orders over 5,000 pieces require 25 days (depending on complexity).
4. Applicable scenarios and installation methods?
Typical scenarios:
Industry: PLC control / floor standing electrical cabinet , power distribution box
Infrastructure: subway tunnel emergency telephone box (IP55 anti-destruction design)
Outdoor: solar power distribution cabinet, street equipment box (mainly wall-mounted)
Installation: Standard wall-mounted bracket, some models support floor installation.
5. Supplier qualifications and quality control?
We have a variety of key certifications:
ISO 9001 (quality management system)
UL/CE (European and American electrical safety certification)56
Quality inspection requirements:
Material needs to provide SGS report (verification of stainless steel composition)
Finished products pass salt spray test (≥500 hours) and pressure seal test.
