Distribution cabinet definition

At the end of the power system is responsible for the distribution of electrical energy and power lines, monitoring and control of electrical equipment, and the cabinet with integrated electrical components is called a power distribution cabinet.

The power distribution cabinet is the collective name of the switch cabinet and the power distribution box in the broad concept.

The difference between switchgear and distribution box

The switchgear is a complete set of switchgear and control equipment, mainly for the control, monitoring, measurement and protection of power lines and main electrical equipment. It is large and permanently located in substations and power distribution rooms.

The distribution box is mainly used to control and distribute electrical energy to electrical equipment, protect the circuit from overload, short circuit, and leakage. It has a small size and is suitable for various places.

Classification by voltage level

In the switchgear, low voltage below 500V, medium voltage 3KV, 6KV, 10KV, high voltage 24KV, 35KV, 66KV, 66KV is rarely used.

At present, the conventional low-voltage switchgear is generally 380V (such as GGD, GCK, GCS, MNS, etc.); the medium-high voltage switchgear is generally 3KV, 6KV, 10KV, 24KV, 35KV, and our commonly used medium-high voltage switchgear is 10KV and 35KV ( Such as KYN28-12, KYN61-40.5).

The difference between GGD, GCK, GCS and MNS

GCK/GCS/MNS is drawer type, GGD is fixed type;

MNS is designed and manufactured by AAB, and GCK/GCS is a domestic cabinet type;

GCS can only be used as a single-sided operation cabinet; GCK/MNS/GGD can be used as a double-sided operation cabinet;

Compared with GGD, GCK/GCS/MNS is convenient and fast in fault maintenance. Just pull out the faulty drawer and replace it directly, without affecting the normal operation of other circuits. However, GGD needs to be maintained after the entire cabinet is powered off;

GCK/GCS/MNS is more economical and has more outgoing lines; GGD has fewer outgoing loops and a larger area (it is recommended to make a drawer if the place cannot be fixed in a small area).
